With the onset of hot summer, we took care of our kids and sewed for them new Panama - 4 petal summer hats. We made the hat brim enlarged that will reliably protect baby's head, neck and shoulders from the sun while going to the beach, park or just while playing in the garden. The wide field can be laid in front and fixed on the forehead in the form of a flap of the visor, or relaxed to cover the face as much as possible. We also add the ties which can be used to hold the hat on the head so that the wind couldn't blow it from it, and when the hat is turned over - ties are lovely decorative detail. But if you decide not to make them, then the panama will easily become reversible. The tutorial is quite simple and it is available to beginners with minimal sewing skills.
